Health Spring Ayurveda was founded by Dr. George Joseph. Over last 20 years, Dr. George Joseph has earned a reputation for effectively applying traditional Ayurvedic system of knowledge in helping his patients from across the globe, specifically those with afflictions related to joints and skin. Using authentic Ayurvedic treatment, he has successfully treated conditions such as cervical spondylosis, stiff neck, cervical pain, neck pain, radiating pain in hand, and feeling of numbness or pins and needles of hand. As documented in the testimonials page of this website, Dr. George Joseph has also trained allopathic physicians from abroad interested in Ayurveda.
Dr. George Joseph graduated in 1994 from the Ayurveda College Tripunitura, Kochi, the second oldest Government Ayurveda College in Kerala. To study more about Ayurveda's traditional ways of healing, he joined as a medical officer under Dr P.V. Raghava Varier, Chief Physician and Managing Director of Arya Vaidya Nilayam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, an institution established in 1930. Dr. P.V. Raghava Varier is considered as one of the foremost Ayurvedic experts from Tamil Nadu, specifically in curing skin diseases, and Dr. George Joseph worked directly under him for 9 years.
Later Dr. George Joseph moved to his native state of Kerala, where authentic Ayurveda is practiced in India. There, he began working under Dr K. Rajagopalan, who was awarded Padmashri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour for his contributions in the field of Ayurveda. Considered to be a doyen of Ayurveda, Dr. K. Rajagopalan was the first ever Ayurvedic physician from Kerala to be awarded such an honor. Dr. George Joesph worked with Dr. K. Rajagopalan for 10 years, and received focused training for treatment of cervical spondylois and other joint diseases.
